Memories of my childhood linger like the previous night's moon, which crept through my pale green window curtains and gave me, as I slept, a calm, gentle, and thoughtful smile in my dream, through its hazy beams as if penetrating through the thin layer of mist.

Still, I remember that dried and tremendously deep well in my homeland and how its mouth was covered with all of those fallen leaves of the season. A girl braiding a twin tail was lying on the trunk of an old elm tree. Humming music and slightly closing her eyes, she felt how the setting sun stroked her bright, clean forehead like a pair of soft hands. Beneath her tails was the remaining afterglow and warmth of the setting sun.

 

Pieces of yellow leaves, falling like music notes, slipped from the little girl's hands and slowly hovered and dropped along the well's wall, as if frightened flying birds in the dusk looking for their nests and flapping their wings vacillatingly.

A soft and atonal song with no theme blended with a dreamland written in water floated over from the distant, deep universe. It triggered layers of pulchritudinous ripples under the little girl's heart, which reflected fragments of the lacerated sky torn by the falling leaves, and the horizon miles away, the acacia trees, little wind chimes on the ancient tower far away, the ringing bells of boredom, the birds' chatters … That autumn, those songs and moans of that dried well and fallen leaves, and that twin-tail-braiding childhood had all disappeared like the mist.

And now, all that is left is the moonshine of my childhood, which glows like water as always.

童年的記憶悠長如昨夜的月光,穿透薄霧般的月色,躡手躡腳走進我淡綠色的窗帷,向夢中的 我投以恬靜而意味深長的微笑。

依舊記得故鄉那眼極深的枯井,記得井臺上鋪滿了那個季節全部的落葉。一個紮羊角辮的女孩 兒倚在老榆樹的樹幹上,哼著歌,微閉雙眼,感受斜陽怎樣如一雙溫柔的手輕撫她光潔的額頭。發 辮裏留下些許落日余暉和暖香。

一首淡淡的,沒有主旋律的歌,融合著一個轉瞬即逝的夢境從遙遠的宇宙深處飄來,那小女孩 兒心中蕩起層層柔美的漣漪,倒映著被樹葉分割成破碎的天空、遙遠的地平線、合歡樹、遠方古塔 上的小風鈴、沈郁的鐘聲、鳥兒的啁揪......那個秋天,那個枯井與落葉的淺唱低吟,那個紮羊角辮 的童年霧一般迷失了。
